The power of positive thinking.

A friend of mine sent me a regard through my other friend. I didn't know why I felt uncomfortable and so down whenever I think of her. We had a bad past-time. No. I think it was me who had a bad experience with her. Yup. It's me. I dig myself through and wonder why I felt this way. This is so not me, I don't like this feeling. It's awkward and... sinful. Thus, I rang a bell of what Saidina Umar Al-Khattab said (correct me if I'm wrong). The gist of it was, if there is a slightest good in a thing, just think of the the good only. Eventually, I succeeded. I got rid of the negative thoughts and convinced myself she actually cared for me. Let all the sarcasms burned down by the fire of forgiveness. I forgive her for the wrong done she never knew she ever did to me, and I hope she will do the same as well.

This is the power of positive thinking. A peaceful and healthy mind. A happy face. *SMILING* HAHA! Just like what Ustaz Hasrizal wrote in his book entitled 'Secangkir Teh Pengubat Letih'.

'Siapa kamu menentukan cara kamu melihat'

Kesannya pula

And on page 31, I would like to quote the whole thing to share with you guys which I believe a very interesting illustration and analogy given just so we understand the effect and importance of positive thinking. Enjoy.

"...Saya amat percaya bahawa, 'what you see is what you get'.

The option is there once you are called a human being. Every single person was given the opportunity to choose. The only thing left is for us to make the right choices. We have the power to choose wisely not emotionally. Try our best to base our judgment and analysis on what Islam has thought us and Islam require us to never practice buruk sangka (suuz zhon). In fact, it is sinful if we do so.

Therefore, no matter we like it or not, we ought to choose to develop the habit of positive thinking. I admit it was not easy but if we want to live a meaningful and happy life, we ought to. Yes, we ought to fight the nafs within ourselves. Say NO to the provocative whispers in our minds. Hopefully, we will succeed in the struggle to choose between right and wrong. HEY! Let's live a happy life.

Haha.. Say YES! to positive thinking everybody! :)
